Glitter Heart Lantern

This is a cute decoration that looks really awesome whenever you turn the lights off.

What you'll need:
  • Mason jar
  • Spray glue (Elmer's Spray Adhesive is a good glue)
  • Glitter
  • Battery-run lights (in picture above)
  • Decorative rocks
  • Funnel (recommended)
  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Double-sided tape
  • Heart stencil and pencil (optional)
Step by step instruction:
  1. Cut out a heart from a piece of paper- you can use a stencil and pencil to make the shape of the heart, if you'd like. To learn how to make a perfect heart without a stencil, click here.
  2. Using double-sided tape, tape your heart into the inside of the jar, smack-dab in the center.
  3. Spray the entire inside of the jar with your spray glue. Make sure to coat every spot.
  4. Pour in your glitter using the funnel, and let dry. When dried, pour out any excess glitter.
  5. Peel off the heart and you'll have a little heart window. Put in some decorative rocks, and put the battery-operated light on top.
Whenever you turn it on and turn all the lights off, you'll have a cute glass lantern!

YouTube Instruction:

This tutorial uses sticker paper instead of double sided tape & paper. You can do that, too!
